Embark on an unforgettable trek through one of Morocco’s most breathtaking mountain routes. This accessible adventure, suitable for all levels, takes you from the beautiful Aït Bougmez Valley across the High Atlas to the enchanting Valley of Roses. Along the way, you’ll cross dramatic mountain passes, traverse lunar-like plateaus, wander through remote Berber villages, and hike along the majestic M’Goun gorges. A journey rich in nature, culture, and authentic encounters.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Meet & greet at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Free time to explore the vibrant city of Marrakech.

Day 2: Marrakech – Aït Bougmez Valley – Village of R’bat (1900 m)
Drive through the Aït Abasse Valley to reach R’bat. En route, stop at the village of Ibakliwne to discover dinosaur footprints. Overnight at a local guesthouse.
Hiking time: 3h

Day 3: R’bat – Tizi n’Aït Imi Pass (2900 m) – Tighremt n’Aït Ahmed (2230 m)
Begin the trek with your mule team. Hike up to Tizi n’Aït Imi Pass for breathtaking views of the M’Goun range. Descend into the southern slopes of the Atlas. Camp overnight near the village of Tighremt n’Aït Ahmed.
Hiking time: 6h

Day 4: Tighremt n’Aït Ahmed – Imi Nirakte (2000 m)
Follow the M’Goun River downstream through isolated mountain villages and striking ridge landscapes. Camp near the entrance of the gorges at Imi Nirakte.
Hiking time: 6h

Day 5: Imi Nirakte – Aguerd Zegga (1800 m)
Trek through the most dramatic section of the M’Goun Gorges. In some places, the narrow cliffs rise so close together that you can touch both walls at once. Camp at Aguerd Zegga.
Hiking time: 6h

Day 6: Aguerd Zegga – Boutaghrar (1600 m)
Leave the gorges behind as the valley opens up to reveal terraced fields and fragrant rose gardens. Overnight in a local guesthouse in Boutaghrar.
Hiking time: 5h30

Day 7: Return to Marrakech
Drive back to Marrakech via the stunning Dadès Valley and the famous Route of the Kasbahs. Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass before descending to the plains. Overnight at a hotel in Marrakech.

Day 8: Departure
Transfer to the airport according to your flight schedule.
