This trek invites you to explore two of the most stunning valleys in the Central High Atlas: the lush and welcoming Aït Bouguemez Valley, known as the “Happy Valley,” and the wild, remote Tassaout Valley. Along the way, you'll walk through dramatic landscapes—green terraces, red mountains, perched villages—while immersing yourself in the traditional Berber way of life. A beautiful blend of nature, culture, and authentic encounters.

Level: Moderate (approx. 5 hours of walking per day)

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Meet & greet at the airport, transfer to your hotel. Free time to explore the city.
Day 2: Marrakech – Aït Bouguemez (2200 m)
Transfer by minibus through Azilal and the Oughbar Pass to reach the beautiful Aït Bouguemez Valley. Settle into a traditional guesthouse.
Overnight in a local house
Day 3: Aït Bouguemez – Azib n’Ikkis (2300 m)
Begin the trek through terraced fields and remote villages. Gentle climb to the high pastures of Azib n’Ikkis.
Overnight in tents – Approx. 5h walk
Day 4: Azib n’Ikkis – Tarkedit Pass (3400 m)
Ascend gradually to the Tarkedit Pass, offering panoramic views of Mount Mgoun (4068 m), the second highest peak in Morocco.
Overnight in tents – 5–6h walk
Day 5: Descent into Tassaout Valley – Imin Ikkis (2100 m)
Enter the beautiful and secluded Tassaout Valley, one of the most picturesque in the Atlas Mountains.
Overnight in a mountain hut – Approx. 5h walk
Day 6: Imin Ikkis – Megdaz (1900 m)
Trek through forests and villages toward Megdaz, a stunning village famed for its preserved stone-and-wood architecture.
Overnight in tents or local house – Approx. 5h walk
Day 7: Megdaz – Fakhour – Return to Marrakech
Final walk to the village of Fakhour, followed by a scenic transfer back to Marrakech via the natural rock bridge of Imi n’Ifri.
